History

The Ōkami Wiki was originaly founded by DarkSmasherElite in February 2009, but after three months of little activity he stopped editing. After more than a year with little in the way of contributions, The Yoshiman found the wiki, in a derelict state. The Yoshiman quickly contacted Wikia and gained the rights of bureaucrat and administrator, becoming the only active staff member on the wiki. The Yoshiman began the long struggle to build this wiki up, but eventually left in mid-2011. During The Yoshiman's time, in late 2010, Soul reaper came, and quickly became an administrator here, then a bureaucrat in late 2011. Also around the same time as Soul reaper came, Tyrant457 joined, and with the help he provided, he was promoted to an administrator a year later, then a bureaucrat through wiki adoption in early September 2012, as Soul reaper had left in late 2011. Back during the time of Tyrant457's activity in early April 2012, Tormented Sufferer joined, and around the time of Tyrant457's promotion, Clubchloe1 came, and in November, she became an administrator when she saw the lack of activity of the only active administrator because he was busy with college, alongside Tormented Sufferer. On January 9, 2013, the only active bureaucrat of Ōkami Wiki, Tyrant457, noticed his inactivity, and gave Clubchloe1 and Tormented Sufferer bureaucrat status, and revoked his, leaving Ōkami Wiki in their hands.

The mission of Ōkami Wiki

Our main goal is to supply useful information to others about the Ōkami video game series. We also make sure our wiki looks nice—it, being rounded (everywhere), having colorful templates, and many other things about it. We also sometimes make articles about glitches, if they are particularly useful, such as the hidden strike glitch. We are not the best resource for information about Ōkami on the internet, but we try to supply useful information about Ōkami. We do not wish to store everything about Ōkami, but only information that others would find useful and interesting. This means we are not a fanfiction wiki, but we are partnered with a fanfiction wiki where users may post their own fanfiction. We soon plan on adding some articles about the fan base of Ōkami—including fan websites, and other topics, but there will of course be a notability policy about notability of articles about fan websites.

Iron-Tipped Kane (Kane) (Active) Talk • Contributions • 384 edits Administrator Joined January 2, 2013 Iron-Tipped Kane is the newest full administrator. He got the status to help out with Project Red link deletion, but later kept the status after he showed how he can help out on the wiki.

Ōkami Wiki has an official YouTube Channel! You can find it here. Right now, our YouTube channel will primarily be hosting video game guides, but as time comes, we will feature more types of videos. The YouTube channel is hosted by some of the staff of Ōkami Wiki, who are (incase you didn't see the above) Clubchloe1, Tormented Sufferer, and Tyrant457.
