If you need something from the elder, you must go through me. I'm Samickle, top warrior of the Oina tribe!

Samickle

Samickle is the recently appointed Chief of the Oina, having rescued Kemu from Wawku Shrine.

History[]

Background[]

Prior to Amaterasu's arrival in Wep'keer, Samickle was appointed as the chief of the village because Kemu became too weak to rule and he has great trust in Samickle. Samickle must protect the village and Kemu from the two owls who want to destroy Kemu to prevent the Volcanic Incantation.

Ōkami[]

When Amaterasu first comes to Wep'keer, he is the only Oina found outside braving the dangerous blizzard to guard Kemu's hut. He will not let Amaterasu or Issun into the hut as Kemu is near death after being seriously injured by Lechku and Nechku. Samickle eventually lets into the hut Amaterasu after Kemu summons her with a howl.

Oki samickle

Samickle welcomes Oki back into the village.

After the defeat of Lechku and Nechku, Samickle welcomes Oki back into the tribe with open arms and forgives his selfish deeds.

Characteristics[]

Samickle ConceptArt

Samickle's concept art.

Samickle comes off rude, harsh, and is described by Issun as stubborn. Upon first meeting him, he introduces himself as "The greatest Oina Warrior". He initially tells Issun to get out of the village as strangers are not welcome. He believes he is better than the rest of the village because of his new position as chief.

Samickle also doesn't believe in the gods as he cannot see Amaterasu's divine markings, he can, however, sense great power coming from her.[1]

Despite his rudeness and negative attitude, Samickle has great belief in Oki. The rest of the village thought Oki was a disgrace after he stole the sacred sword Kutone, but Samickle trusts Oki to banish the evil from Kamui. He knows that Oki will do what's right in the end and will eventually get fulfill the prophecy.

His mask is of the likeness of a Peregrine Falcon- his totem animal (as stated in the Official Complete Works book)
