Merchant

Merchants (「行商人」?; Gyōshōnin) can be found in many parts of Nippon in both Ōkami and Ōkamiden. Amaterasu and Chibiterasu can use their Yen and Demon Fangs to buy needed items. Conversely, they can sell their own items to them in exchange for cash, although they will only give them half as much money. For Amaterasu, she can also cash in any Fish that she has collected.

Locations[]

The merchant may be inaccessible inside a cursed area until the Guardian Sapling is restored, but is usually available for business as soon as Amaterasu and Chibiterasu can safely approach.

Not all merchants carry the same supplies. Some have extremely rare merchandise (unusual items, specific Key items, or even Divine Instruments) that are available from only one or two others, if any. These are noted in the "rare items" category. (Some merchandise is semi-rare and is not available from all sources, such as Mermaid Coins and bags of Gold Dust, but these are not counted as "rare items" below.)
