The Astral Pouch (「異袋」?; Ibukuro; Different bag)[a] is a type of item acquired in the Ōkami series, that will fully revive Amaterasu if all solar energy has been depleted. She and Issun find her first Pouch in a treasure chest while in the River of the Heavens, and can acquire three more as divine attributes by spending Praise. Subsequent Pouches cost respectively 300, 350, and 400 Praise each. Filling a Pouch requires collecting food items, each of which has their own value (in food points, or FP). If all Pouches are full any excess FP will be converted into Yen, with a multiplication factor of ten, making collecting food a worthwhile expenditure as to increase your purchasing power.
The most common types of food are acquired through destroying breakable objects, such as urns and vases, restoring trees with Bloom, but also by using Power Slash on larger things, such as trees. The most food acquired this way, such as apples, peaches, and oranges, are also worth the least. The more rarer food generally encompass entire dishes, and are are much rarer, and subsequently worth much more. Such rare items are typically found in fixed locations, and nowhere else, or obtained as a reward for a side mission. Unique is the Golden Peach, an item that can be stored until needed, and which upon use instantly fills one Pouch.
